THINGS TO KNOW

We will meet May 4, 2024 at 10:00 am at 165 N 600 W off of Highway 26 in Blackfoot, ID. We will have hives available for you to observe the functions of a healthy hive. There is no charge for any of these activities and you are under no obligation to purchase anything. There will be a bathroom available and a young girl trying to earn some "pony money" offering drinks and snacks.

Please come dressed to work in the bees. You must have a veil and protective clothing to participate. The potential to get stung is always possible. Make sure none in your party are known to have reactions to bee stings.

NOTE: For the first time in 15 years California is cold and wet! Bees are not growing as in the past, causing pressure on bulk bee quantities. Queen breeders are struggling with drone numbers to provide well-mated queens. We have delayed our Spring California work to give the bees more time with better weather to help address these issues.

For those that are just interested in restocking their hives we will have a load out crew to deliver to your vehicle any items you purchase beginning at 9:15 am. If you know what you want and still want to participate in the workshops, you can fill out an order slip and we will pull your request while you learn.

We will have a few other beekeeping supplies for sale to help you manage your hives. We will be offering a high fructose feed syrup so if you think you will need some, start saving your milk jugs now so we can fill them while you're there. Please write your name on the jugs.

We can accept cash, debit, or credit cards. We do our very best to protect the health of the queens, bees, and brood.  This is livestock and it can and may die. You are buying "As is" with neither an express nor implied warranty of any kind.
